Tempted to drive through water or mud, but have fear of ruining your differential? We've got you covered! This rear differential breather kit put together by CUVPros includes everything you need to prevent water from entering the differential.
By design, a stock differential uses a small one-way air valve that allows pressure built by heat to exhaust during normal operation. This valve contracts when the differential cools down. The issue is when the differential cools down during water crossings, the stock valve contracts and allows for water to enter the drivetrain. If water were to enter the differential you'll run into serious and expensive issues. However, with our kit, you're able to extend this breather valve to a safer location and prevent contaminating the differential.
Threading the stock differential using a tap is required so we recommend professional installation for this product.
We've included everything you need to extend the breather cap to a safer location away from potential water contamination.
